Discovered in 2011 in Alberta, Canada, the Northern Peltosaurus was restored in May 2017 after a five-year-long restoration process. Thanks to the rapid burial of the carcass by the seafloor sediments without external damage, the dragon armor retained its original form shaped into a dinosaur mummy. In addition to the beautifully preserved external structure, the Northern Peltosaurus reveals to us many important scientific values and other information. The skin pigmentation of its fossil remains in its pre-life, and the pigmentation analysis of its body is reddish brown, which is the first time that the body color of a dinosaur other than a feathered dinosaur has been restored.
